Starting from the year 2008-09, applicants will only need to choose a single code (6963) in JUPAS for admission to all programs offered in the Faculty of Engineering. Please check back often here or at the Faculty of Engineering website for further announcement.

We, the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, offer four bachelor degree programmes.

   Four bachelor degree programmes:

   Double-degree BENG/BBA:

If you are admitted to the Bachelor of Engineering, apart from the choice of the 12 BEng programmes, you can also choose to take double-degree BEng/BBA, provided that you meet the additional requirements. Students will have chance to study some business courses during their study in BEng and have an option to undertake an additional year on self-financing basis leading to the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. Moreover, 3 majors are available for the BBA degree, namely, Finance, Human Resource Management and Marketing. Double-degree graduates will definitely enjoy a better edge in the face of global challenges.

Applicants are required to fulfil the following additional requirements:

  • the minimum entrance requirements of the BBA programme; and
  • an average score of 3.5 or above in 2AL+1AS subjects (other than Use of English and Chinese Language and Culture subjects); and
  • grade D or above in Use of English subject in HKALE.
All EAS students who have chosen the double-degree option are eligible for admission. Non-JUPAS applicants will be considered on the basis of individual merit.

   Optional Minor in Business/ Economics/ Finance :

Students can also opt for minor study. The minor options available are Business, Economics and Finance. To complete the minor programme, students have to complete 36 credit-units (equivalent to 6 courses) in the field of minor in addition to their study in BEng. By acquiring additional knowledge and skills in business, students will add a credential to enhance their job choices and career potentials.
