We are glad to let you know that the Chapter was approved to be established at the start of 2009. The chapter will organize the IEEE Magnetics Society Distinguished Lecture Series, technical seminars, and technical visits for the magnetism community in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and GuangDong so that more interaction, understanding, and collaboration can be established among these three places.

In addition, we are aiming at bridging up the well-developed Magnetics Society global network to the South China region so as to connecting the East with the West. We encourage you and your colleague to join the IEEE Magnetics Society since strong membership number reflects the significance of our magnetism community in the academic institutes and industry.
