Communication theory and systems, Microwave propagation and circuit design, transform algorithms, signal processing.
Dr. Ho received his B.Sc.(Eng.) degree with First Class Honours, M.Phil. degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, and Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of London. He joined the University of Hong Kong in 1985 and is currently an Associate Professor and the Programme Director of the Electronic and Communications Engineering Programme (EcomE) in the EEE Department. He has been serving in the CAS/COM Joint Chapter of the IEEE Hong Kong Section since its formation in 1989 in different capacities and was the Treasurer of IEEE Hong Kong Section in 1999 and 2000. He has also served in the organizing committees of a number of international conferences and is currently the Vice-chairman of the organizing committee of IEEE International Conference on Acoustic, Speech and Signal Processing which is to be held in Hong Kong in 2003. He was awarded the IEEE Third Millennium Medal in recognition of his services and contributions.
