Dr. Lui obtained her BEng. (first class honor) and MPhil. degrees in computer science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She then received her PhD degree, also in computer science, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. Dr. Lui joins the department as an assistant professor in August 2002.
