Sub-wavelength photonics, fiber-based lightwave technologies, and electromagnetic waves & applications
Prof. Sailing He is currently a chief scientist for Joint Research Center of Photonics of the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and Zhejiang University (China), and a national distinguished professor appointed by China’s central government (through “Qian-Ren” program). After receiving his Ph.D. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology, he has worked at the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) as an assistant professor, an associate professor, and a full professor. Prof. He’s main research interest includes sub-wavelength photonics, fiber-based lightwave technologies, and electromagnetic waves & applications. He has first-authored one monograph (Oxford University Press) and authored/co-authored over 400 papers in refereed international journals (most of them are published by OSA, IEEE, APS and AIP), including over 100 papers in various IEEE journals. Prof. He has served as General Chair (or Co-chair) for a number of international conferences, as well as in Steering Committee, Scientific Advisory Board or Technical Program Committee for numerous international congress/conferences and journals. Prof. He is a Fellow of OSA (Optical Society of America) and SPIE (International Society for Optical Engineering), and a Topical Editor for Optics Letters.
