A Fireside Chat on AI for Social Good

A Fireside Chat on AI for Social Good organized by HKU-AI WiSe and the Department of Medicine, the University of Cambridge. The event was held on March 23, 2024; supported by RGC-TRS, with about 50 participants attending the event.

Prof. Victor OK LI, Director of HKU-AI WiSe, gave a presentation on AI for Social Good on March 23, 2024.

Prof. Victor OK LI highlighted that many AI models have made value assumptions implicitly. Different values will give different outcomes.

Prof. Victor OK LI showcased how to inject different value sets into AI models.

Prof. Jacqueline CK LAM, Co-Director of HKU-AI WiSe, shared HKU-AI WiSe’s 10-year journey on AI for Social Good, highlighting the publications and awards achieved.
