Mr. Sam Chan
Field Application Engineer - Wurth Electronics HK
MSc in Electronic and Information Engg – CityU

Würth Elektronik is one of the leading manufacturers of electronic and electromechanical components in Europe. The product portfolio includes: EMC components, capacitors, inductors, RF inductors and LTCC components, transformers, etc. As one of Europe’s largest manufacturer of passive components, Würth Elektronik provides Design support from Field Application Engineers, Free seminars and Software tools for selection of components. In addition to components, Würth Elektronik also supplies engineers with expertise. The “Trilogy of Magnetics”, “Abc of Capacitors”, “Trilogy of Connectors” and “Simulation in LTspice IV” application manuals provide professionals and other interested parties with a compendium of practice-oriented expertise, which is unique of its kind.

Electronic components are always non-ideal and possess limitations in the real world. In this seminar, we will introduce to you the critical parameters of magnetic components used in industrial products, and to share with you the proper approach towards the selection of magnetic components for different applications. Additionally, with future product trend of electronics moving towards more compactness and higher power density, the development of magnetic components are following suit in having increased their power density. In this seminar, we will also introduce the latest technology of magnetic components and will share with you the application design possibilities of such components.

This seminar is suitable to undergraduate and postgraduate students doing their design and research projects. ALL ARE WELCOME. No registration required.
