Conzeb Limited, TSSSU@HKU company, received the Championship in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hongkong Innovative Startups Competition

Conzeb Limited, a biomedical engineering company co-founded by Dr. Kevin Tsia, Dr. Andy Lau (former EEE PhD student) and Mr. Pan Yeung (current ME PhD student), was awarded the first prize of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hongkong Innovative Startups Competition on 7th December 2016. The team, also one of the winners of the HKU DreamCatchers 100K Competition, was among the 20 shortlisted teams (from Hong Kong and Shenzhen) from the first round of selection in last summer, and entered the final contest of the competition, held in Qianhai on 25th November 2016.

Conzeb, as one of the TSSSU@HKU companies, aims to develop a diagnostics tool for high-speed cancer pre-screening, based on a patent-pending ultrafast cellular imaging technology (an imaging throughput up to 100,000 cells per second – 100 times faster than the existing technologies).


The final contest was held at E-hub in Qianhai on 25th November 2016, a competition of 20 teams selected in first round held in 2016 Summer.
