IEEE HPSR Best Paper Award

The paper Prof. L.K. Yeung co-authored with his former PhD students, Bing HU and Chunzhi HE, has just won the Best Paper Award from the 2014 IEEE 15th International Conference on High Performance Switching and Routing (IEEE HPSR), which was held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from July 1 to July 4, 2014.

The paper is “On Iterative Scheduling for Input-queued Switches with a Speedup of 2-1/N” by Bing Hu, Kwan L. Yeung, and Chunzhi He.

IEEE HPSR has a long tradition, starting from 1993 when it was held for the first time. HPSR got its current name in 2000, when two workshops merged into HPSR: ATM Workshop and International Workshop on Broadband Switching Systems.

In HPSR 2014, there are 4 best paper finalists. A special session was organized for finalists to present their work in front of a panel of judges. Their paper, which was presented by Prof. L.K. Yeung, was selected unanimously as this year’s best paper.
