Prof. Ed. X. Wu has been honoured the Outstanding Researcher Award 2009-2010 for the international recognition of his research accomplishments, the quality and quantity of his research publications, the ability to attract research grants and his involvement in high-impact applied research work.
The Outstanding Researcher Award is an annual award that gives honour to HKU’s outstanding researchers. It recognizes outstanding research on the part of researchers at the University of Hong Kong. Selections are made on all aspects of a candidate’s research performance during the preceding five academic years and its decision will be based primarily on a candidate’s performance as a member of the University of Hong Kong.
Prof. Ed. X Wu joined our Department, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in 2003. His current research includes biomedical imaging and medical instrumentation, particularly the development of advanced high-field MRI methodologies and their applications for investigation of humans and disease models, including in vivo brain and heart structures and functions related to diseases, injuries, pharmacological intervention and genetic modification.
