Outstanding Young Researcher Award

Dr. Kenneth K Y Wong has been honoured the Outstanding Young Researcher Award for his research accomplishments, the quality and quantity of his research publications, and his involvement in high-impact applied research work.

The Outstanding Young Researcher Award is an annual award that gives honour to HKU’s outstanding researchers. It recognizes exceptional research accomplishments of academic and research staff. Selections are made on the basis of work published within the past five years, and achievements other than research are not taken into consideration.

Dr. Kenneth Wong is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the University of Hong Kong. He is a member of the IEEE, and IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optic Society (LEOS). His research interests include fiber optic communication; fiber nonlinearities; novel optical devices; nanophotonics; free-space optical communications; fiber optical parametric amplifiers (OPA) and photonic crystal fibers.
