In Dec 2017, HKU and Cambridge, under HKU-Cambridge Clean Energy and Environment Research Platform, has finally reached a MOU to kickstart a PhD pathway, which allows HKU PhD students registered under our HKU-Cambridge CEERP Programme to undertake a one-year MPhil programme in Technology Policy at the Judge Business School, the University of Cambridge. This MOU is the first of its kind that Cambridge has ever made with any university in the world. Our Programme intends to bring our engineering research students to the next level of excellence, by providing them an excellent opportunity to gain a policy perspective apart from their engineering experience, and prepare them to be the future leaders in technology management and engineering. We are very excited and honoured to make this scheme a reality. The signers of this MOU include Director Prof. Victor OK Li, Director of HKU-Cambridge CEERP, HKU; Prof. Paul Tam, our Provost; Prof. Norman Tien, our Dean of Engineering; Prof. Michael Pollitt, Director of MPhil in Technology Policy Programme, and Prof. Christoph Loch, Director of Judge Business School, Cambridge University.
