Chair of the IEEE Medal of Honor Committee

Professor Paul Cheung has been appointed to serve as the Chair of the IEEE Medal of Honor Committeein 2009. Medal of Honor is the highest medal in the IEEE. It is awarded to a candidate identified as having made an exceptional contribution or an extraordinary career in the IEEE fields of interest. Past recipients include Marconi, Terman, Nyquist, Shannon, Gabor, Kalman, Noyce, Shockley, Gallager, Zadeh and Grove. The 2008 Medal of Honor recipient was Gordon Moore, co-founder of Intel.
