Interflow Conference

Dr. Wilton Fok, Dr. Alfred Yu, Dr. Philip Pong and Dr. YC Wu collaborated with the University of Electronics Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and jointly organized an interflow conference for the students from HKU and UESTC. There were 26 EEE students and 17 students from other Faculties attended the conference. Students from the two universities shared their learning experience, university life and technical knowledge with one another.

In the conference, students Wu Mao Mao (M.Ed2), Jacqueline Ho (EComE3), Zoe Yiu (Journalism2), Gong Chun (MediE3), Chau Yu Cheung (BBA2), Wang Yi (BBA2), Liu Guan Nan (EComE2), Ng Wing Yin (BBA2) presented different topics, including: “Education system in Hong Kong”, “ Application of on-line learning”, “Campus life in HKU”, “Solar-Energy – Theory and Practice” and “Rising of high-tech industry in China – Hard disk industry”.

Dr. Wilton Fok, Mr. Chunwei Tsui, the Director of the International Department of Sichuan Association for Science and Technology; Ms. Julia Di, the Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of UESTC and Mr. Lei Ping, the Chief Secretary of the School of Communication & Information Engineering of UESTC attended and addressed in the Conference.

More than just an Interflow Conference

Besides interflow conference in a conference room, the HKU Reconstruction Team also visited the DongFang Electric in Deyang. Their exposures were widely opened.
