Wuhan University Visit

Prof. Victor Li, Dr. Wilton Fok, Dr. Philip Pong and Dr. Alfred Yu and a group of 10 engineering students to visit the Wuhan University and Wuhan Steel via the Wuhan–Guangzhou High-Speed Railway from 9 to 11 April 2010. Students enrolled in ELEC2803 Engineering and Society were invited by the guest lecturer Mrs. Regina Ip, a Councilor of the Legislative Council, to join the Wuhan interflow tour with students from other six universities in Hong Kong. Students from various programs such as Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil and Environment and Computer Science had joint the visit.

During the visit, the Director of the Foreign Cooperation Division of the Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation Ms. Ren Hong introduced the design and operation of the Wuhan-Guangzhou High Speed Railway to the delegates.
