Mr. Giuseppe Yick Hong Mak
Ph.D. student at HKUEEE
“EEE provided me not only the knowledge required in the ever-changing electronics industry, but also the good teachers that helped and encouraged me during my study. I am much influenced by their seriousness and dedication towards research and teaching. Most importantly, I met many smart classmates in EEE. I do reminisce the days when we crowded around the professors to ask questions after every lecture.”
Mak Yick Hong Giuseppe received the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 2002 and M.Phil. degree in 2005 from the University of Hong Kong. He was involved in the optimization of photomask design in photolithography during his master research. Later, he joined Brion Technologies (Shenzhen) Company Limited, where he worked as an application engineer for software products that inspect integrated circuit layouts after optical proximity correction (OPC). He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. His research interests include the fabrication of gallium-nitride-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in alternating-current circuits (AC LED), and the application of metallic nanoparticles on LEDs.
