Research Interests

Fiber and waveguide lasers modeling, computer networks modeling.

Dr. Yuk received his BS degree from Iowa State University in 1978 and MS and Ph.D. degrees from Arizona State University in 1980 and 1986 respectively. Since 1986, he has been a lecturer at HKU. His current research interests include: modeling of mode locking techniques in fiber soliton laser; time domain modeling of waveguide laser; bandwidth management and congestion control in broadband wide-area and local area networks; protocol design for lightwave and wireless networks.
