Distributed Smart Cameras

Oct 30 - Nov 2, 2012, Hong Kong

Camera-ready Paper Submission NEW!

  1. Format your file following the instructions below.

  2. Your file MUST then be sent to IEEE PDF eXpress to ensure that it meets the IEEE requirements for embedded and subset fonts. You may send your source file to PDF eXpress (http://www.pdf-express.org) for conversion into acceptable PDF (recommended) or, if you are confident that your file is compliant, you may send your final PDF file to PDF eXpress for confirmation. Instructions about using PDF eXpress as well as the conference access code is provided here: PDFeXpress-Instructions.pdf.

  3. PDF eXpress will send you an email saying that your file is ready or is approved. After your file has been approved by PDF eXpress, rename it to follow the naming convention: concatenate up to the first three authors's lastname. For example,
    • A paper authored by John Doe, Richard Li, Bill Huang, and Helen Gates would be DoeLiHuang.pdf.
    • A paper authord by Alan Tam and Andy Lau would be TamLau.pdf.
Only then should you submit it to the submission website. Also, take the email that PDF eXpress sends you, convert it to a .txt file with the same name as your PDF, and submit it along with your paper. This lets us know that your file meets the IEEE requirements.

  4. Submit your paper as a PDF file and your IEEE approval as a .txt file to: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icdsc2012

  5. Sign and submit the copyright form. The ICDSC 2012 proceeding has the ISBN # 978-1-4503-1772-6. Please refer to the copyright page for details.
For questions about submission of your paper, contact cbobda@uark.edu.

LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates can be found in the IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings website:

  • Authors using Microsoft Word should use the US Letter template and follow the instructions within the template document.
  • Authors using LaTex should include the \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran} option in their latex file and follow the instructions in the IEEEtran_HOWTO (pdf) document.

The papers should provide sufficient background information including adequate references and clearly indicate the original contribution.

Paper submission implies that one of the authors will present the paper at the conference if the paper is accepted.
