Prof. Crawford-Brown was Director of the Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation Research at the University of Cambridge (retired), Emeritus Professor of Environmental Sciences and Policy at the University of North Carolina, and a member of the Tyndall Council. His research is in uncertainty analysis, decision theory, risk assessment, policy analysis and the secondary health benefits of reductions in carbon dioxide emissions.

Jon Crowcroft is the Marconi Professor of Networked Systems in the Computer Laboratory, of the University of Cambridge. Prior to that he was professor of networked systems at UCL in the Computer Science Department. He has supervised over 45 PhD students and over 150 Masters students. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, a Fellow of the ACM, a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Fellow of the IEE and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, as well as a Fellow of the IEEE. Jon's research interests include Communications, Multimedia and Social Systems, especially Internet related.

Prof. Markus Kraft is a Fellow of Churchill College Cambridge and Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. He is the director of CARES ltd., the Singapore-Cambridge CREATE Research Centre. He is also a principal investigator of “Cambridge Centre for Carbon Reduction in Chemical Technology (C4T)”. He obtained the academic degree 'Diplom Technomathematiker' at the University of Kaiserslautern in 1992 and completed his Doctor rerum naturalium in Technical Chemistry at the same University in 1997. He has a strong interest in the area of computational modelling and optimisation targeted towards developing carbon abatement and emissions reduction technologies for the automotive, power and chemical industries.

Prof. Leslie is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory with interests in operating systems, distributed systems, and networks. From 1999 to 2004, he was Head of the Computer Laboratory, and from January 2004 to 2009 he was the University's Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research. He was a co-founder of Nemesys Research Limited which exploited the results of research work done in the department, producing hardware and software to allow cost effective video connection to ATM networks. In 2017, Prof. Leslie was appointed the Director of University Information Services at Cambridge.
